“Love Money, Money Loves You!” by Sara McCrum

Money is one of those topics that we all have issues with. Common phrases such as “filthy rich” or “the root of all evil” – it’s no wonder we tend to have warped views about it. Many people also struggle to earn or keep it or have limiting beliefs about it. Some feel that they don’t deserve it, or shouldn’t have too much. There is nothing quite like it for triggering all sorts of limited beliefs within us. “Love Money, Money Loves You”, gets to grips with all this in a simple, easy to understand way.

“Love Money, Money Loves You!”

I was recommended this book by a friend though the title I found a little off-putting. However, as soon as I started to read it, I found that it was really speaking to me. I initially had to read through it really slowly just so that I could take it all in. Each chapter would have so much to say that I had to stop to contemplate it in depth. Then, having completed it, I immediately started to read it again, taking copious notes this time.

Love Money, Money Loves You

Simple Message

It’s message is very simple: if you are in an open, loving state about money and think about it positively and enjoy having it, enjoy earning it and enjoy spending it, then it will surely flow to you. The key is the joyful open state. However, if you are in a close, fearful state then this will actively repel money. I immediately recognised this within myself as being true. The book offers lots of practical tips on how to operate from this open, joyful state. Topics include how to attract money each month or even each day; how to set financial goals, how to deal with debt and all sorts of other aspects of finance. Always, it’s operating from this state of joy and openness which is the key.

It is easy to see how this message goes beyond just money matters to all aspects of life. After all, money is just a flow of energy, as is everything else in life. This means that this same principle will naturally apply to all other aspects of life. In the end it comes down to being aware of your thoughts and feelings and how they are affecting your life. A wise friend of mine once described this as “casting spells” with our thoughts. The book suggests practical ways to practise doing this.

“Love Money, Money Loves You!” – Conclusion

This book has found its place in one of the top spirituality books for me on the topic of money. I am looking forward very much to putting it all into practice in my life.
